About the Role

Senior Manager – Capital Markets. You will lead the expansion and elevation of the Capital Markets practice by defining vision, driving business development, and delivering high‑impact, client‑centric solutions in a transformative, technology‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the vision for the future of Capital Markets and spearhead thought leadership, high‑impact client proposals, and go‑to‑market campaigns.
  • Build and sustain a robust network across the Capital Markets sector, generating new business opportunities.
  • Lead multiple work streams and large‑scale projects, ensuring high‑quality delivery within agreed time frames and budgets.
  • Act as a senior representative of EY, building trusted relationships with C‑suite and senior client stakeholders and providing strategic insights.
  • Mentor and develop diverse teams, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and deep Capital Markets expertise.
  • Champion a professional environment that differentiates EY, supports the growth of future leaders, and strengthens EY’s position as a market leader in Capital Markets advisory.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the Capital Markets industry, ideally through a top‑tier consultancy, specialist financial services consultancy, or within a leading bank or market infrastructure provider.
  • Expertise in front‑to‑back Capital Markets operations and their evolving relationship with technology, such as automation, AI‑driven processes, digital assets, and Reg Tech.
  • Proven experience managing and leading complex, multi‑disciplinary teams and large‑scale projects with strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced executive communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging C‑suite and senior stakeholders.
  • Tech‑savviness and willingness to learn, adopt, and apply relevant tools and software to enhance client service and operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional leadership, teamwork, and client service skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment in advisory roles within financial services.
  • Availability and flexibility to travel extensively within and outside of Canada and to work beyond standard hours when necessary.
