Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Commodities Trading Business Analyst (TT Platform). This position is integral to supporting trading technology initiatives in Capital Markets IT, working closely with traders and technical teams to enhance trading workflows, systems, and data analysis capabilities.

• Collaborate with commodities traders and technology teams to support and optimize trading platform initiatives
• Document trading workflows, system requirements, and product functionalities in detail
• Analyze and interpret trading and market data using SQL for insights and validation
• Participate actively in testing and validation of trading systems to ensure functionality and performance
• Translate trader needs into clear technical requirements and actionable implementation plans
• Develop comprehensive understanding of end-to-end trading workflows and data flows through downstream systems
• Contribute to strategic product development and identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiencies

• Hands‑on experience with commodities trading platforms, specifically with TT (Trading Technologies)
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis related to trading and market data
• Proven ability to work directly with traders or front‑office teams, understanding their workflows and needs
• Excellent documentation skills for capturing trading workflows and system requirements
• Experience participating in testing and validation projects within trading systems
• Ability to grasp broader trading system architecture and technical concepts

• Experience with other front‑office trading environments, such as equities, futures, algorithmic trading, or swap platforms
• Knowledge of trading workflow automation tools and middleware solutions
• Prior involvement in system design or development projects within trading environments
• Academic background from top Canadian universities or significant capital markets projects
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results without detailed oversight
