As a Senior R&D Actuary, you will be integral in creating and refining mortality and lapse assumptions that are essential for business decisions. You’ll apply your in-depth analytical skills to evaluate experience data and deliver insights into product and pricing strategies within Canadian and US markets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine methodologies and enhance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct experience analysis on insured life trends

• Formulate key mortality and lapse assumptions

• Identify drivers through complex data analysis

• Innovate monitoring tools for accuracy

• Collaborate across various teams and document processes

Requirements:

• Fellowship with the Society of Actuaries with 7+ years’ experience

• Degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science

• Proven experience in mortality assumptions development

• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Ability to convey analytical findings into actionable insights
