Manage the end-to-end registration process for securities and insurance licensing, including new registrations, amendments, and terminations.
Administer and monitor registration renewals for individuals, branches, and the firm across applicable Canadian provinces, territories, and U.S. jurisdictions.
Maintain and update registration records and databases, including the National Registration Database (NRD) and other internal systems.
Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding licensing requirements, regulatory obligations, and registration status.
Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., provincial regulators, IIROC/CIRO, U.S. regulators) to support registration submissions, updates, and issue resolution.
Track and escalate registration issues, delays, or deficiencies to management as required.
Perform reconciliations and control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of registration data.
Prepare and maintain reporting related to registrant status, licensing compliance, and regulatory correspondence.
Support regulatory change initiatives and participate in projects impacting registration processes and systems.
Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal compliance frameworks.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in securities and/or insurance registration, licensing, or compliance within a financial services environment.
Working knowledge of Canadian and U.S. regulatory frameworks related to registrations (e.g., NI 33-103, NI 33-109).
Familiarity with the National Registration Database (NRD) and other registration or compliance systems.
Understanding of licensing requirements for registrants, branches, and firms across multiple jurisdictions.
Experience maintaining regulatory records, managing renewals, and supporting audit or compliance reviews.
Knowledge of regulatory bodies and self-regulatory organizations (e.g., CIRO, provincial regulators, U.S. regulators).
