Manager of Actuarial Services at UPP

Lead actuarial initiatives in a hybrid role with UPP as the Manager, Actuary. Oversee complex pension calculations and support team development in downtown Toronto.

The Manager, Actuary will report to the Senior Director, Actuary, guiding pension administration and core actuarial services. This role is crucial for providing oversight, mentorship, and technical guidance across various actuarial streams. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance actuarial governance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee complex pension calculations and actuarial analysis

• Develop and maintain actuarial administration tools

• Support funding analysis and actuarial modelling

• Mentor and coach actuarial team members

• Collaborate with stakeholders on actuarial matters

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or related field

• ASA/ACIA certification required; FSA/FCIA is an asset

• 6-9 years of relevant pension actuarial experience

• Strong proficiency with MS Excel and actuarial software

• Familiarity with Ontario pension legislation
