Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of client projects by supporting work streams focused on regulatory compliance, risk management, digital assets, and operating model transformation.
  • Assist in the development of client proposals, research, and preparation of presentations and reports.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and clients to analyze complex Capital Markets processes and systems, helping to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Support project management activities to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Build your network within the Capital Markets sector and the global community, developing your skills and knowledge in Capital Markets products, functions, and emerging trends such as digital assets, regulatory and market structures.
Skills & Attributes for Success
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with foundational knowledge of Capital Markets trade flows (front, middle, back office), risk management, digital assets, data, technology, regulatory compliance, market infrastructure, and Capital Markets products.
  • Proactive and curious mindset with a willingness to learn and ask insightful questions.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to support clear articulation of ideas and findings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and adapt to new challenges.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet client requirements.
  • Eagerness to build relationships within the industry and across EY’s global Capital Markets community.
  • Intellectual curiosity to stay informed on industry trends and innovations.
Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in the Capital Markets industry, ideally gained through a consultancy, financial services firm, or within a bank or market infrastructure provider.
  • Understanding of front‑to‑back Capital Markets operations and their evolving relationship with technology, such as automation, AI‑driven processes, digital assets, and regulatory technology (Reg Tech).
  • Experience supporting project delivery with strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to learn and use relevant tools and software.
  • Strong teamwork and client service orientation.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and integrity in previous roles.
  • Availability to travel as needed within and outside Canada and flexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary.
  • Self‑starting attitude and ability to think outside the box, thriving on new challenges.
