Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A

About the Company

Our client is a publicly traded, multinational media company. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A who will be responsible for ownership across financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions. The successful candidate will partner closely with our corporate and business unit finance teams based in Toronto.

This role will report to the Director, Group Planning and Analysis and is a hybrid position requiring in‑office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.

• Assist in the preparation of the Consolidated Annual Business Plan, coordinating inputs across business units and corporate functions
• Play a key role in the preparation of Board presentations, including quarterly Actual vs Budget and Forecast packages, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and executive‑ready presentation
• Facilitate the administration of the Workday Adaptive Planning system, including system updates, user support, and process improvements
• Partner with Shared Services cost centre owners to manage performance against budget, providing proactive analysis and recommendations
• Serve as a key analytical resource for the corporate finance team, delivering insights that support operational and strategic decision‑making
• Provide ad hoc reports from Net Suite for the corporate finance team and business unit leaders as required
• Play a key role in the preparation of financial models required for annual asset impairment testing
• Drive detailed business analysis, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior management and the Board as required
• Prepare purchase orders and expense reports in Net Suite as required
• Execute ad hoc projects and tasks to support the Director, Group Planning and Analysis, with the ability to manage work streams independently

• 3+ years of FP&A and/or commercial finance experience, or experience in a Big 4 or mid‑size audit firm
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required; CPA or CFA designation (or progress toward one) is an asset
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of deliverables
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear business insights and recommendations
• Experience with Adaptive Planning and Office Connect is preferred

$95,000 – $105,000 per year
