Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will evaluate credit data and financial statements to determine the risk in extending credit or lending money. This role is essential in helping our organization make informed lending decisions, minimize risk, and maintain financial stability. Duties
  • Conduct thorough data collection on potential and existing clients, including reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Perform comprehensive risk analysis to assess the creditworthiness of applicants by analyzing financial health, repayment capacity, and market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed credit reports that summarize findings and recommendations for approval or decline of credit applications.
  • Engage in negotiation with clients regarding credit terms while ensuring compliance with company policies and risk management standards.
  • Monitor existing accounts for signs of financial distress or changes in creditworthiness, updating risk assessments accordingly.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, account managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth credit approval processes and resolve any issues that arise during the lending cycle.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that could impact credit risk management strategies.
Experience
  • Proven experience in financial services, banking, or related fields with a focus on credit analysis or risk assessment.
  • Strong background in data collection, financial statement analysis, and risk evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency in mathematical skills, accounting principles, and financial modeling tools is highly desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with clients while safeguarding organizational interests.
  • Familiarity with credit scoring systems, databases, and relevant software applications is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and sound judgment is advantageous.
