We are seeking a Principal Mining Consultant – Due Diligence & Transaction Advisory to join our growing North American presence in Toronto.
Backed by a proven Australian mining advisory framework, and reporting to the Senior Manager EMEA, this position offers the opportunity to bring rigorous, investor-grade technical methodologies into one of the world’s most active mining finance markets.
This role suits a technically strong mining professional who is equally comfortable evaluating assets, engaging investors, and influencing high-value transactions.

Your ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with global leadership and technical teams, you will be accountable for:
- Lead technical due diligence across M&A, financing, and investment processes
- Assess project risk, resource quality, and valuation drivers
- Deliver clear, defensible insights for investor and lender audiences
- Support transaction execution, including data rooms and technical Q&A
- Work directly with private equity, funds, banks, and mining executives
- Translate technical findings into investment-relevant recommendations
- Participate in investment discussions and strategic decision‑making
- Generating revenue by building a sustainable pipeline of advisory & transaction work
- Build relationships across Toronto’s mining finance ecosystem and strengthening brand credibility in capital markets
- Contribute to winning mandates and growing market presence
- Help scale a North American advisory business supported by Australian expertise
- Background & Qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geology, or similar
- Strong understanding of project evaluation, risk, and valuation
- Confident engaging investors, executives, and non-technical stakeholders
- Commercially minded with a desire to win work and shape outcomes
