Assistant Manager - OTC Confirmations (GWO)
Requisition
The RoleThe Assistant Manager contributes to the success of the GWO Confirmations – OTC Confirmations team by overseeing the timely and accurate confirmation of OTC derivative trades. The role supports day‑to‑day operations, controls, and process improvements while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:- Oversee and support the end‑to‑end confirmation process for OTC derivative trades across multiple asset classes.
- Monitor unmatched or unconfirmed trades, ensuring timely investigation, escalation, and resolution of discrepancies with internal stakeholders and counter parties.
- Review and analyze trade confirmation workflows to identify root causes of breaks and implement corrective actions.
- Perform and oversee daily control checks, reconciliations, and exception management to ensure accuracy and completeness of confirmations.
- Utilize confirmation platforms and internal systems (e.g., DTCC, Markit Wire, Xceptor, or equivalent) to validate and process trade data.
- Support implementation of process improvements, system enhancements, and operational initiatives impacting the confirmations function.
- Monitor adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures, and elevate issues or control gaps as required.
- Ensure all activities align with regulatory, compliance, and operational risk frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of OTC derivatives products (e.g., FX, rates, credit, equities, commodities) and trade lifecycle processes, particularly confirmations.
- Hands‑on experience with OTC trade confirmations, including managing unmatched trades, break investigation, and resolution.
- Strong understanding of confirmation platforms and industry utilities such as DTCC, Markit Wire, Xceptor, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of capital markets operations, including front‑to‑back trade flows and post‑trade processing.
- Experience with reconciliations, exception management, and operational control frameworks within a confirmations environment.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting trade processing (e.g., operational risk, AML/ATF considerations).
- Experience supporting process improvements, control enhancements, or system‑related initiatives within an operations environment.
