This is a hybrid role - 4 days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Leads a team of onboarding and documentation specialists delivering end‑to‑end documentation and onboarding workflows for Capital Markets clients, including deposit accounts and treasury services, in alignment with regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to establish procedures for document imaging, verification, filing, and maintenance to optimize access and security.
  • Ensures the timely archiving or secure destruction of inactive and expired documents in compliance with retention policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles higher-risk client requests, verifying proper authorizations for a seamless and secure process.
  • Defines and leads change management initiatives to ensure adoption of anticipated process improvements.
  • Develops and executes a communication strategy to influence and drive desired behavioral changes across teams and stakeholders.
  • Provides guidance and training on documentation processes promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Builds a network of industry contacts to gain competitive insights, implement best practices, and enhance team performance.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives and resolves strategic issues to achieve business objectives and financial goals.
  • Ensures completeness and correctness of account documentation, adhering to specified formats and regulatory requirements.
  • Organizes, secures, and mitigates risks in document processes while maintaining integrity and compliance.
  • Ensures accuracy in documentation, prepares audit materials, and mitigates risks in document management.
  • Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do.
  • Ensures alignment between values and behaviour that fosters diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounts documentation, client onboarding, or financial operations within a corporate, banking, or Capital Markets environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Law degree or legal training is considered a strong asset.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage complex workflows, and partner effectively with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and business stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to balance risk management, quality, and delivery timelines in a regulated environment.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
