The opportunity
As a Senior Tax Staff – US tax, you will be a part of the International Tax and Transaction Services Practice. We help our clients identify and meet their US tax compliance obligations and navigate cross border taxation issues. Your key responsibilities
Senior Tax Staff in our Tax practice participate in and supervise multiple and challenging tax engagements and to contribute to the delivery of compliance services and innovative tax planning ideas for our diverse clients.
Core elements of the role include
Apply a strong understanding of federal and state corporate income tax to support tax compliance and reporting engagementsPrepare and review corporate and partnership tax returns for multinational clientsPrepare and review income tax provisions for public and private companiesResearch federal and state tax issues, including cross border matters, and draft clear, practical technical memorandaDevelop thoughtful, practical tax planning recommendations and implementation approachesExercise sound professional judgement in complex and technical areasBuild and maintain strong, long term relationships with clientsIdentify opportunities to enhance client service and support additional tax planning initiativesLeverage technology to improve efficiency, accuracy and quality of workParticipating in national initiatives.Encouraging communication and effectively supervising team members.Participating in recruiting efforts when necessary.Contributing to a flexible, stable and team-oriented working culture that fosters personal developmentTo qualify for the role you must have
An undergraduate degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in US TaxCompletion of the US CPA designation and or US Enrolled Agent certification or active pursuit of either credentialExcellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership abilitiesA commitment to learning in a tax technology environmentStrong project management, organizational skills and the ability to deliver quality work within tight deadlinesA process-oriented approach to work and excellent documentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesIdeally, you’ll also have
