Director of Credit Analysis at Fitch Ratings

Fitch Ratings is on the lookout for an experienced Director of Credit Analysis focusing on Leveraged Finance in Toronto. This role requires strong legal expertise and analytical skills in capital markets.

The ideal candidate will work within the U.S. Corporates Group, collaborating with the Head of U.S. Leveraged Finance. You will author compelling research and analysis on credit profiles and legal documentation, while also mentoring junior staff. Your responsibilities will directly contribute to informed decisions in the debt capital markets through insightful rating actions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Author research on covenant structures and legal documentation trends

• Analyze key factors influencing credit quality for entities

• Communicate findings to investors through reports and meetings

• Supervise project teams and mentor junior analysts

• Convey Fitch’s research value proposition to external audiences

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of legal experience in capital markets

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
