Director of AML Advisory at CIBC

Lead compliance efforts as CIBC's Senior Director of AML Advisory in Toronto. Drive regulatory oversight and advisory for Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing initiatives.

In this crucial leadership role, you will manage the AML Advisory team, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy, Governance, and Advisory, you will advise on new processes and guide various Lines of Business. Your expertise in risk management will be vital in identifying compliance gaps and managing the team's evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead AML compliance strategies for multiple banking sectors

• Provide regulatory guidance to support client risk assessments

• Manage the annual Inherent and Control Risk Assessment

• Develop strong relationships with Lines of Business leaders

• Foster team development through training and job shadowing

Requirements:

• 10+ years in AML compliance within financial services

• Strong knowledge of AML laws and regulations in Canada

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Proven leadership and people management experience

• Undergraduate degree in business, law, or accounting
