Job Description & How to Apply Below
KEV helps school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real‑time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level—cash, cheque, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 27,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $8 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot.
It’s how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on student success.
About the Role
As the Director of Pricing, you will own the strategy that determines how KEV captures value from the platform. Reporting to the SVP, Marketing, you will sit at the intersection of finance, product, sales, and customer success, translating market intelligence, cost structures, and deal data into pricing models that are both competitive and sustainable. This is a newly elevated function—you will build the pricing capability from the ground up, creating frameworks, tooling, governance, and a feedback loop that keeps us sharp as we scale.
How You'll Contribute
Design and own KEV’s end‑to‑end pricing strategy—subscription tiers, transaction fee structures, packaging architecture, and discount governance.
Build and maintain financial models that quantify the revenue, margin, and churn impact of pricing decisions across customer segments.
Partner with Product to price new modules and features at launch; ensure pricing supports adoption without leaving revenue on the table.
Lead win/loss and competitive pricing analysis; synthesize findings into quarterly pricing reviews with executive stakeholders.
Develop and manage a pricing governance process that balances speed‑to‑deal with margin discipline.
Lead contract renewal strategy with Customer Success—identifying at‑risk accounts, upsell pricing windows, and cohort‑level trends.
Build reporting dashboards that give leadership real‑time visibility into price realization, discounting patterns, and ARR contribution by tier.
Who You Are
7+ years in pricing strategy, revenue management, or FP&A, with at least 3 years in a SaaS, fintech, or subscription‑based business.
Proven ability to build pricing models from scratch—not just refine existing ones.
You use data‑backed insights to develop compelling pricing recommendations and convince various levels of management of your arguments.
Expert‑level Excel or Google Sheets modelling; experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or equivalent; comfort with CPQ or deal desk tooling.
Experience presenting pricing strategy to C‑suite or Board‑level audiences and driving alignment across Sales, Finance, and Product.
You operate with precision and earn trust through data, but you also know when the right answer is a conversation, not a spreadsheet.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation—fair, competitive pay.
Meaningful benefits—your well‑being matters.
Retirement savings support—company‑matched RRSP in Canada and 401(k) contributions in the U.S.
Professional development—ongoing learning, stretch opportunities, and continuing education through KEV Academy and KEV University.
Hybrid model—3 days in the office with flexible arrangements the rest of the week.
Flexible PTO—close to 4 weeks of vacation and company‑wide holiday closure.
Office perks—snack bar, occasional catered lunches.
Why You'll Love Working at KEV
Make a real difference—support children, parents, and schools across North America.
KEV Way—constant questioning, improving, and innovating with a guiding focus on student success.
Grow with us—learn, develop, and shape your career as we scale fast.
Collaborate to excellence—respectful, accountable, and supported environment.
Celebrate community and culture—club events, customer series, town halls, and awards.
