Position: Senior Accountant for Private Funds
Advance as a Senior Fund Accountant with Sagard, specializing in private equity and venture capital funds. This role, located in Toronto or Montreal, demands precision in financial reporting and compliance.

Sagard is looking for a proactive Senior Fund Accountant for a six-month engagement. In this essential role, you will maintain high standards for financial accuracy and investor communications, while managing capital procedures. You will also lead audit preparations and work closely with legal teams on new fund initiatives, contributing to the strategic growth of the firm’s investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure financial statement accuracy and net asset value reporting

• Collaborate on capital activity processes with fund partners

• Oversee journal entries and financial record maintenance

• Prepare for audits and manage compliance with tax regulations

• Lead initiatives for system automation in fund accounting

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in fund accounting

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• CA / CPA certification desirable with IFRS focus

• Strong English communication skills; knowledge of French is advantageous

• Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking capabilities
