We are seeking a Senior Accountant with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of finance, offering visibility into strategy, operations, and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly accounting cycle, including accounting, analysis, and month-end entries.
Develop and recommend accounting models for new transactions using accounting principles.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with procedures and produce accurate financial information for leadership.
Analyze and prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and supporting schedules for management reports.
Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports for senior management and boards or committees as needed.
Assist in resolving reconciling items in account reconciliations.
Lead year-end external audit processes and coordinate with actuaries.
Serve as an expert for general ledger reporting tools and maintain related accounting modules.
Support finance team members with system issues, user acceptance testing, and financial system development as required.
Assist with cash management and participate in ad hoc projects or initiatives.
