What you'll do
The Financial Analyst, Store Design & Renewal is responsible for the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting that support all Store Design & Renewal teams including Store Design, Concept Renewal, Fixture Procurement, Point‑of‑purchase (POP) Line Review and In‑store Marketing initiatives. This role partners closely with these teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, disciplined spend management, and transparent reporting across operating budgets. The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making, financial accountability, and cost optimization across projects and programs.
FinancialPlanning & Budget Management
- Support annual budgeting for Store Design & Renewal, including operating budget, Marketing Budget Cost Report, and Merch & Owned Brands budgets for in‑store execution, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Support reforecasting activities throughout the year by analyzing actuals, identifying variances, and updating forecasts to reflect changing scope, timing, or spend.
- Partner with Store Design & Renewal teams to understand demand drivers, phasing, and financial implications of design and renewal initiatives.
- Manage year/month‑end financial processes, including preparation and validation of accruals, ensuring expenses are recorded accurately and in the correct period.
- Perform variance analysis between budget, forecast, and actuals; clearly articulate drivers, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and reporting standards.
- Produce and maintain regular spend reports for leadership, providing clear visibility into YTD spend, forecasted outlook, and remaining budget by program, banner, business owner, and initiative.
- Develop project‑level financial tracking, monitoring budgets, commitments, invoices, and forecasts for active Store Design & Renewal projects.
- Prepare marketing budget cost reports, tracking in‑store marketing and POP spend against approved budgets and highlighting potential risks or savings.
- Track and report on volume rebates related to POP to ensure accurate accrual, recovery, and reconciliation of rebate funds.
- Identify cost trends, efficiencies, and savings opportunities; support continuous improvement initiatives through financial insight and analysis.
- Collaborate with Procurement and vendors to validate rebate assumptions and financial outcomes.
- Manage credits to Dealers related to Store Design & Renewal, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with approved funding agreements.
- Coordinate with Dealers, Finance, and internal partners to validate credit eligibility, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper application of credits against invoices or recoveries.
- Track Dealer credits as part of project and program financials, ensuring visibility within spend reports, forecasts, and month‑end close.
- Support audits and internal reviews related to Dealer credits, rebates, and recoveries by maintaining clear documentation and financial traceability.
- Act as a trusted financial partner to Store Design & Renewal teams, translating financial data into actionable insights.
- Support business cases, investment requests, and scenario analysis for new initiatives or design programs.
- Contribute to standardization and automation of financial reporting where possible, improving accuracy and reducing manual effort.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or business finance
- CPA designation (or in progress)
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis
- Experience with project‑based financial tracking and multi‑stakeholder environments
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems, reporting tools, or Power BI is an asset
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong financial discipline
- Proactive, analytical thinker with a problem‑solving mindset
- Clear communicator with the ability to explain financial concepts to non‑finance partners
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities

Our typical hiring range is between $44,000.00 - $73,000.00 CAD Annual. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job‑related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role‑specific requirements.
