Budget Analysis Expert

Enhance municipal finance management as the Senior Budget Analyst for the City of Toronto. Drive budget development, monitor compliance, and deliver strategic financial insights.

This permanent, full-time role reports directly to the Finance & Administration Manager in the Economic Development & Culture sector. The successful candidate will have robust skills in budget oversight, variance reporting, and operational planning while effectively collaborating with divisional management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control budgets while providing variance reports

• Provide analytical support for budget development and expenditure tracking

• Create budget notes and documents for accurate submissions

• Assist in performance measures development and analysis

• Participate in task forces as a financial expert

Requirements:

• Degree in Business Management, Finance, or related field

• Significant experience with financial systems like SAP S/4

HANA

• Skilled in budget analysis and financial reporting

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

• Strong project management skills from inception to completion
