Position: Senior Manager, Technology Performance Management )

Responsibilities

Develops detailed financial and economic analysis to assist the designated business portfolio with decision support. Works closely with business leaders and Finance partners to provide financial advice and service that supports the financial management activities of the Group/portfolio. Supports the monitoring and management of financial performance against plans, forecasts, initiatives and objectives.

Generates information and insights that support key business decisions to drive value (e.g., revenue growth, cost management, resource allocation, balance sheet optimization). Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do, ensuring diversity and inclusion.

Builds interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups to create the highest value for all stakeholders. Attracts, retains and enables the career development of top talent, improves team performance, recognizes and rewards performance, coaches employees, supports development, and manages poor performance.

Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor. Networks with industry contacts to gather competitive insights and best practices. Manages resources and leads the execution of accounting, risk and regulatory related strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.

Owns internal/external stakeholder relationships, defines business requirements for analytics and reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision‑making. Designs and produces regular and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards.

Leads the execution of financial planning and analysis service delivery programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution. Supports or leads financial planning, forecasting and performance reviews that utilize plan, forecast and actual financial information to develop annual plans and targets. Performs variance analyses and ad‑hoc forward‑looking analyses to improve understanding of business drivers and opportunities to improve performance for product and profit improvement.

Supports the development of methodologies and policies to enable analyses and insights focused on financial dimensions (e.g., revenue, expense, balance sheet, capital). Determines the financial impact of initiatives and strategic business decisions, incorporates the impacts into future financial forecasts/plans, and assesses the reasonableness of business cases during investment reviews and approvals.

Works with the business to align key performance indicators with financial forecasts and plans. Breaks down strategic problems, analyzes data and information to provide financial insights and recommendations. Employs systems to manage information and integrates data from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and streamlined reporting.

Monitors and tracks performance, addresses issues, acts as a trusted financial advisor to assigned business/groups, influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives, recommends and implements solutions, assists in developing strategic plans, identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision‑making, and operates at a group/enterprise‑wide level to serve senior leaders and stakeholders.

Applies expertise and creativity to address unique or ambiguous situations, implements changes in response to shifting trends, and takes measured risks while protecting the bank by applying the Risk Management Framework in the execution of the role, in line with Risk Culture and within the approved Risk Appetite.

Qualifications

Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.

Verbal and written communication skills – In‑depth / Expert.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $94,600.00 – $.

Pay type:

Salaried. Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure for qualifying positions.
