Finance Governance Manager at CIBC

Elevate finance governance and compliance at CIBC as the Finance Governance Manager. Drive control initiatives, risk management, and internal compliance within a hybrid work model.

In this pivotal role reporting to the Director, you will oversee key finance governance and compliance programs. With a focus on risk management and control framework, you will collaborate with various infrastructure groups to ensure adherence to CIBC’s policies. Your contributions will include testing controls, managing deficiencies, and facilitating the assertion processes for Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test effectiveness of internal controls and follow up on deficiencies

• Advise on governance best practices to Accountable Officers

• Complete incident reports and self-assessments on controls

• Facilitate quarterly assertions and review process documentation

• Support key initiatives including process mapping and documentation

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in finance products and control activities

• Background in risk management within financial services

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent

• Experience in creating sound control frameworks

• Ability to collaborate and drive change effectively
