This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Agent role based in Toronto, ON. The Mortgage Agent will meet with clients to assess their financial situation, understand their goals, and recommend suitable mortgage products and strategies. Responsibilities include sourcing and qualifying leads, preparing and submitting mortgage applications, gathering required documentation, and following up with lenders to facilitate approvals and funding. The role involves educating clients on mortgage options, interest rates, terms, and conditions, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
The Mortgage Agent will also build and maintain relationships with referral partners, contribute to local marketing initiatives, and provide ongoing support to clients throughout the mortgage lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, including current products, regulations, and market trends.
- Experience with mortgages and mortgage lending, including application structuring, underwriting basics, and funding processes.
- Familiarity with mortgage servicing, including renewals, refinances, and ongoing client support.
- Skills in mortgage marketing, including client acquisition, networking, and leveraging digital and community-based outreach.
- Valid mortgage agent or broker license in Ontario (or eligibility to obtain), and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Proven client relationship and sales skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfort with using CRM systems, lender portals, and standard office software to manage pipelines and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON, collaborate with a team, and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
