About the Role:
Our client is a leading real estate investment and asset management organization with a diversified North American portfolio. They are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to join their finance team in a hands-on leadership role focused on financial reporting, consolidations, and operational accounting within a complex multi-entity environment.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare annual consolidated financial statements and monthly internal reporting packages, including oversight of subsidiary reporting
- Execute consolidation activities including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation across multiple entities
- Review month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting outputs
- Oversee corporate tax compliance activities including quarterly/annual projections, instalments, and variance analysis
- Manage sales tax filings (GST/HST/QST) and support preparation of legal entity financial statements
- Oversee accounts receivable, billing processes, and related corporate accounting functions
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of accountants within the corporate accounting function
- Liaise with external auditors for year-end audits, SOC compliance testing, and tax filings
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting processes on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Identify and implement process improvements, including automation opportunities within accounting workflows
- Act as a key finance business partner across property, fund, and operational teams
- Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as required
- CPA designation (or equivalent professional accounting designation) required
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or public accounting within a multi-entity environment
- Experience working within real estate, investment management, or similarly complex multi-entity environments considered a strong asset
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with Yardi or similar real estate accounting systems considered an asset
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing or mentoring accounting teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality output under tight timelines
