Our client is a well-established and growing organization within the real estate and asset management space, recognized for its collaborative culture, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong market presence across North America. They are seeking a driven accounting professional to join their corporate finance team in a highly visible role supporting financial reporting, process improvement initiatives, and strategic projects.
DescriptionThe Manager, Corporate Accounting will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting and corporate accounting activities within a fast-paced environment. This individual will support monthly and quarterly close processes, contribute to external reporting deliverables, and partner cross-functionally with various finance and operational teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing corporate accounting activities, including reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting processes
- Supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements and related disclosures
- Reviewing and analyzing financial results, variances, and operational metrics for senior leadership
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and joint venture reporting activities
- Identifying opportunities for automation, reporting enhancements, and process improvements
- Researching technical accounting matters and supporting implementation of accounting policies
- Collaborating with auditors and internal stakeholders on reporting and compliance initiatives
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a high-performing finance function
- CPA designation with progressive experience in public accounting and/or corporate reporting environments
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Experience working with consolidations or complex accounting transactions is considered an asset
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
- Advanced Excel skills is an asset
- Self-starter mentality with a collaborative and adaptable approach
