Vice President of Financial Reporting at OMERS

Lead financial reporting excellence for OMERS as Vice President of Financial Reporting. This critical role oversees compliance and sustainability reporting to support financial integrity and decision-making across our corporate finance team.

In this senior position reporting to the SVP, Corporate Finance, the VP will oversee all aspects of financial statements and sustainability compliance. Candidates should possess deep expertise in financial accounting, team leadership, and multi-entity environments while focusing on AI-driven innovations and cross-enterprise collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation and audits of consolidated financial statements

• Oversee sustainability and carbon metric reporting in annual reports

• Maintain and develop comprehensive accounting policies

• Ensure compliance with external financial reporting and filing

• Act as principal liaison for internal and external auditors

Requirements:

• 15+ years in financial reporting, particularly in complex global environments

• CPA designation with post-secondary degree in finance or accounting

• Deep knowledge of IFRS and S. 4600 standards

• Experience with governance models and valuation standards

• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
