As part of the Third-Party Residential Underwriting team, you will support credit decisions by ensuring due diligence in the documentation process. Engaging with mortgage brokers, insurers, and solicitors, your responsibilities will involve reviewing income and property documentation, while maintaining industry compliance. Your attention to detail is key to mitigating risks and ensuring accuracy in underwriting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and verify mortgage-related documentation accurately
• Maintain relationships with mortgage brokers and partners
• Escalate documentation issues to senior underwriters
• Document clear notes in the mortgage system
• Adhere to AML policies and procedures
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Experience in Financial Services preferred
• Knowledge of the Mortgage industry an asset
• Completion of Mortgage Agent Course an asset
• Proficient in PC software in a Windows environment
