What this role involves:

JLL is hiring a Portfolio Analyst to join the Portfolio Reporting team. This team monitors, analyzes and reports on JLL's financial performance to the client. You will serve as a key contributor in the coordination, analysis, reporting and presentation of the forecast and budget for senior management. The ideal candidate brings advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills to drive the development and enhancement of reporting tools and processes as well as various value‑added analysis and presentations for management and for the client.

This role is hybrid – in office 3 days a week with flexibility to work remotely the other 2 days.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities:
  • Gather and compile operational and financial information on a monthly and quarterly basis and prepare consolidated reports and variance analyses for stakeholders (vs. budget, forecasts, prior year);
  • Contribute to quarterly presentations for JLL Senior Management and clients;
  • Assist the Property Manager in preparing annual budgets and ensuring completeness, accuracy and integrity of forecasts and budgets;
  • Reconcile operating costs and property taxes based on specific allocation requirements per tenant leases;
  • Coordinate analysis and consolidation of expense forecasting and budgeting; address gaps and recommend interventions to increase cost‑effectiveness (e.g., facilitate monitoring of operational expenses);
  • Develop tools for analysis and projection of financial results, draft control reports to verify data quality;
  • Manage and participate in the implementation of new systems, processes and reports to simplify operations and increase group agility, always focused on value creation;
  • Act as an Advisor‑Representative of the Financial Performance and Analytics group and collaborate on technological projects with various departments;
  • Support special projects and ad‑hoc analysis as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or Accounting;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting;
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI/Query).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pursuit of an accounting designation;
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager and advanced forecasting and budgeting is an asset;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to gather, interpret and synthesize various data points and sources;
  • Strategic, innovative mindset that challenges the status‑quo and recommends improvements;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, detail‑oriented and deadline‑driven;
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and evolving environment;
  • High energy with a positive attitude;
  • Proficiency in English and French is an asset.
