Position: Full-Time Mortgage Underwriter

As part of the Third Party Residential Underwriting Division at First National Financial, the Associate Mortgage Underwriter will focus on enhancing relationships with mortgage brokers while ensuring thorough review of all documentation. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish positive relationships with mortgage brokers

• Review and verify required income and property documentation

• Interact with external partners like appraisers and solicitors

• Document clear notes within underwriting systems

• Ensure all AML requirements are met

Requirements:

• Completed post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• Previous experience in the Financial Services sector preferred

• Understanding of mortgage industry practices is an asset

• Strong analytical and organizational skills required

• Comfortable with high volume processing and pressure
