What is the opportunity?
The Derivatives Confirmations Group under RBC Capital Markets is looking to hire a Senior Analyst, Derivatives Confirmations, CA.
What will you do?- Draft confirmations in accordance with the Standing Order Policy and firm standards.
- Work closely with Front Office to prepare documentation for bespoke trade structures, ensuring precision in economic terms and legal provisions.
- Compare RBC‑prepared confirmations with client documents to identify discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies. Escalate unresolved cases to Front Office.
- Perform daily/weekly reconciliations and reports.
- Manage regulatory reporting obligation to maintain adherence to requirements.
- Adhere to maker/checker protocols for static data entry/updates, verifying accuracy across.
- Monitor and reduce outstanding confirmations and settlement failures through proactive follow‑ups and process improvements.
- Analyze aged confirmation reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to testing and establishing operational procedures for new product launches.
- Maintain and update templates in alignment with market and regulatory changes.
- Ensure strict adherence to KYC policies for new and existing client setups.
- Continuously update product and operational procedures to reflect evolving business needs and regulatory landscapes.
- Oversight of day‑to‑day operations, mentor team members, and ensure accurate, timely delivery of confirmations while upholding compliance and process efficiency.
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, ability to learn quickly.
- Works effectively, collaboratively, and reliably in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Good understanding of Capital Markets’ operational functions, processes, and organizational structure.
- Relevant industry experience with a focus on Foreign Exchange, Foreign Exchange Options and/or Commodities.
- Naturally analytical and inquisitive with the ability to think critically while identifying issues and suggesting solutions.
- Experience/working knowledge of Derivatives products, ISDA terminology and regulatory frameworks (ESMA, CFTC, CSA).
- Strong understanding of risk concepts and risk management practices.
- Working knowledge of various systems:
Murex, Openlink, RIMMS.
