Manager, Investments

Reporting to the Director, Investments, the Manager is responsible for the management and analysis of acquisitions, dispositions, purchase financing, appraisals, investment reporting and strategic management decisions.

• Manage the acquisition process, including due diligence, financial modeling, acquisition financing and partner approvals.
• Prepare and analyze investment data for strategic review and prepare relevant reporting.
• Manage dispositions and internal transfers, including the preparation of valuations, due diligence materials, returns analyses and partner approvals as required.
• Preparation of business cases and/or presentations for potential investors detailing acquisitions, due diligence findings, dispositions and financings.
• Formulate valuations and forward‑looking projections in accordance with strategic asset plans and in conjunction with the asset management team.
• Ensure proper transition of acquired assets from the investment team to the asset management and accounting & finance teams.
• Ensure effective communication with brokers, lenders, and relevant third parties.
• Lead the quarterly and annual appraisal cycles and other regular reporting, including portfolio returns, deal pipeline updates and performance presentations to partners.
• Mentor and oversee Analysts in financial modeling, underwriting and investment analysis.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a real estate analysis‑intensive position (multi‑residential sector is considered an asset); a client focused approach with strong relationship building, interpersonal, and communication skills; the ability to work autonomously, make high quality decisions and problem‑solve independently, effectively and creatively; an ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail in a results oriented, deadline driven environment;

superior Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint capabilities.

The compensation structure is comprised of a base salary that is market competitive and based on factors such as experience, education, designations, and skillset.
