As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Financial Services, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of Finance professionals.

What You’ll Do You’ll act with integrity to:- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and independence from political influences
- Act in conformity with established policies and procedures
- Exhibit the utmost tact, diplomacy and confidentiality at all times
- Apply your knowledge of accounting principles
- Process a variety of accounts payable invoices, expense claims and lease/rental payments accurately and on a timely basis for clients in the Office of the Assembly, Members of Provincial Parliament, Caucuses and Commissions
- Verify and ensure the appropriateness of invoices and expense claims to pre-determined budgets and entitlements in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Ability to identify and resolve expenditure issues
- Ability to apply arithmetic and accounting skills in expenditure verification and control, purchasing, budget accounting and lease/rental payments
- Aptitude for working with figures in a fast-paced, computerized environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, judgement and analytical skills
- Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems and software applications to input and retrieve data, prepare spreadsheets and run reports
- Requires a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, some accounting courses, and 3–6 months of related accounting or accounts payable experience.
