Position: Senior Accountant for Finance Projects
Drive financial excellence as a Senior Accountant with a top-tier global insurance company located in downtown Toronto. This role blends hybrid work flexibility with critical financial management.

You will oversee the preparation of management results while conducting client profitability analysis, ensuring timely financial closes for North American legal entities. The role involves enhancing financial systems, helping with automation efforts, and executing process improvements that align with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial processes related to client premiums and cash flows

• Prepare and document profit commission reports

• Maintain controls and participate in external audits

• Collaborate with teams across pricing, claims, and IT

• Contribute to systems upgrades and automation efforts

Requirements:

• 6–8 years in accounting or finance; insurance a plus

• Required CPA post-secondary degree in Finance/Business

• Knowledge of IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 is advantageous

• Strong in Microsoft Office applications

• Familiarity with analytical tools like Power BI a plus
