Position: Associate, Investments
Location: Toronto, ON (Don Mills & Eglinton) - 5 days per week in office.
Job Summary: We are seeking a driven and versatile Associate to join our Investments team in our new office at Don Mills and Eglinton. This is a hands‑on, high‑exposure role at the core of our business, supporting all aspects of new acquisitions, development opportunities and dispositions across all investment strategies, while also playing a critical role in the ongoing asset management of our existing portfolio.
The Associate will remain involved throughout the full life cycle of investments to ensure operational and financial success.
- Build complex and dynamic financial models (using Excel and ARGUS) and conduct ad hoc analysis to evaluate new investment opportunities and existing assets
- Conduct detailed due diligence on potential acquisitions, including financial analysis, lease and contract review, coordination of consultants, etc.
- Prepare and present internal/external investment memorandums and fundraising packages, ARGUwith oversight
- Work closely with other business teams including Leasing, Development, Construction, Property Management, Finance and Capital Formation to develop and execute strategic business plans and value creation initiatives across the portfolio
- Monitor asset performance against underwriting, track key leasing, development, and operational milestones, and prepare regular updates for internal stakeholders and partners
- Assist in the preparation and review of investor reporting materials
- Proactively monitor market trends, track recent transactions, and provide regular summaries to form actionable insights and inform investment strategies
- Oversee the annual property budgeting process to ensure forecasts align with business plans
- Coordinate and review semi‑annual/annual appraisals for select portfolio holdings
- Act as a first line of review on analyst work product, supporting quality control and contributing to a culture of mentorship and professional development within the team
- Post‑secondary education in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in real estate private equity, asset management, development, brokerage, lending, or a related field with a track record of increasing responsibility
- Advanced financial modelling/valuation and analytical skills with the ability to independently underwrite investment opportunities and clearly communicate assumptions and outputs to senior stakeholders
- Direct transactional experience with a strong understanding of the transaction cycle and due diligence process
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Self‑directed and detail‑oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities on tight deadlines
- Deep experience with at least one of NADG’s core asset classes – retail and multifamily – is required
- Proficiency in ARGUS Enterprise is strongly preferred

Pay and BenefitsThe salary for this position is CA $100,000 - CA $125,000. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at NADG and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s experience, location, etc.
