As part of the Global Wealth and Asset Management (“WAM”) Private Assets Financial Reporting and Advisory team, the Manager, Finance and Advisory will support the Private Assets products on all financial reporting aspects. The incumbent will be responsible for completing the financial reporting processes and providing analytical support to produce financial reporting and ongoing operations of the offered third‑party funds. This role will work closely with several teams throughout the organization to deliver timely results while managing priorities and deadlines.
In addition, the role requires an in-depth accounting knowledge base and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures in compliance with IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Coordinate the annual audit and work directly with external auditors.
- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of information provided by internal operations and reporting teams.
- Assist in preparing the Board reporting package on a quarterly basis and provide supporting financial analysis as required.
- Foster collaboration and maintain relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Use appropriate judgment to prioritize work, determine solutions, and respond to issues and requests.
- Propose and implement procedural changes to improve team performance.
- Provide valuable financial analysis and review results for reasonability.
- Assist with ad‑hoc projects and new initiatives within the department.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, and/or finance; professional accounting or finance designation strongly preferred (CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent).
- 3–5 years of experience reporting and analyzing financial statements.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures under IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Collaborative and able to motivate different business units and supporting functions.
- Well organized and able to perform in a fast‑paced and challenging environment.
- Flexibility to work extra hours as needed while maintaining tight deadlines.
