Position: Actuary Director Role at AIG
Join AIG Canada as the Actuary Director and spearhead the actuarial function across multiple departments, including Finance and Claims.

Your role focuses on accurate IBNR estimates and enhancing financial reporting processes.

The Actuary Director will work closely with the Chief Actuary to deliver financial insights and recommendations tied to quarterly estimates. You will guide the local Finance team through IFRS 17 implementation and provide critical support for the development of the Own Risk Self Assessment (ORSA). Additionally, you will coordinate with North American teams to streamline global reserving processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quarterly IBNR estimates to the Finance team

• Assist with local IFRS 17 implementation

• Ensure proper actuarial techniques in reserving

• Collaborate with U.S. actuarial teams for fiscal accuracy

• Conduct actuarial audits and independent reviews

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Fellow of Canadian Institute of Actuaries and Casualty Actuarial Society

• 5+ years in Property & Casualty

• Proficient in insurance practices and regulations

• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts
