Finance Clerk

Position: Full-Time Finance Clerk Opportunity
Join our team as a full-time Finance Clerk and utilize your accounting skills in a supportive role. This position focuses on processing invoices and managing payments efficiently.

In this permanent position, you'll report to the Finance Manager and take on responsibilities like managing program bills, processing cheques, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial records. The ideal candidate should have practical experience with payables and possess strong organizational skills to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Program “Bills for Payment” each week

• Manage and log cheque distributions and approvals

• Conduct vendor payment reviews for direct withdrawals

• Input journal entries and payments into the accounting system

• Scan and file documents for audit preparation

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in finance or related field

• Experience with a First Nation organization is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adagio is beneficial

• Detail-oriented with strong mathematical skills

• Criminal Record Check and WHMIS training required
