Senior Accountant CDI

Position: Senior Accountant Role with CDI
Drive financial excellence at the Child Development Institute as a Senior Accountant. Lead accounting operations and ensure compliance for a nonprofit focused on child development.

In this vital hybrid role, report to the Senior Manager, Finance, and oversee accounting activities such as month-end closings and financial reporting. You'll also manage fund accounting for grants and support comprehensive audits each year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct month-end and year-end accounting close processes

• Ensure compliance with financial standards, funding agreements

• Coordinate audits and enhance internal controls processes

• Provide guidance to Accounts Payable and Receivable teams

• Maintain accuracy in financial tracking and reporting metrics

Requirements:

• Strong accounting background in nonprofit or funding environments

• Experience in fund and compliance accounting

• Leadership skills in supervising financial staff

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting tech

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
