Financial Analyst in Accounting Services

Step into the Financial Analyst role within the Accounting Services Division of the City of Toronto. This position entails preparing vital financial reports and navigating complex accounting requirements.

As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing general ledger accounts, preparing annual financial statements, and helping to implement new PSAS guidelines. The role requires significant experience in municipal accounting, as well as the ability to support decision-making through detailed financial analysis. You’ll also play an essential role in staff supervision, training, and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with PSAS

• Prepare management and financial reports for decision-making

• Develop and implement training for city staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA certification

• Considerable experience in municipal accounting

• Familiarity with PSAS and internal controls
