Position: Accountant Role
UNICEF Canada seeks a dedicated Accountant in Toronto for a full-time position. Engage in essential financial processes, including accounts payable and reconciliations, in a collaborative environment.

This Fixed-term Accountant role entails working closely with the Senior Manager of Finance while ensuring effective processing of vendor payments and month-end reconciliations. With a focus on accuracy and attention to detail, you will help manage the organization's financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and verify accounts payable invoices accurately

• Execute vendor payments and upload payment files

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

• Maintain supporting documentation for financial records

• Collaborate with teams to resolve transaction issues

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree or relevant accounting experience

• At least two years in accounting, preferably in non-profits

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required

• Familiarity with financial management systems is a plus

• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
