As an Oracle consulting generalist at PwC, you will possess a broad range of consulting skills and experience across various Oracle applications. You will provide consulting services to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of Oracle applications. Your versatile knowledge will allow you to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency and achieving their strategic objectives.

  • Analyze detailed finance and accounting processes to identify improvement opportunities in the following areas:

    Record to report:
    Close and consolidation;
    Internal and external reporting, general ledger/chart of accounts design, financial performance management

    Plan to analyze: budgeting and forecasting capabilities;

    Transactional processes: e.g. intercompany, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, etc; and,Maintenance and building of cost-effective controls.
  • Simplify complex processes to improve reliability and achieve cost and cycle time reductions, as well as managing work streams of a complex project to implement improvements.
  • Identify and address client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues.
  • Learn and perform in functional and technical capacities, which includes the following areas:

    System application implementations and software configurations

    Prior experience in Oracle Cloud implementations, other ERP experience, desired

    Produce deliverables within a diverse, fast paced environment, collaborating effectively across teams and juggling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.

    Utilization of PC applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project), and business levels of fluency to capture effectively clients' needs and understand their systems enough to be able to translate those needs into system functionality.

  • Consulting experience with demonstrated experience in Finance

  • Good understanding of process improvement, chart of accounts design/management, and applications of at least one of the following focus areas: finance transformation, performance management, financial systems optimization, managerial cost accounting, financial modelling and industry systems/processes.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse people and individuals at various levels within the organization

  • Superior detail orientation, organization, and analytical skills

  • When applying to a Quebec based opportunity, fluency in French is required. Outside of Quebec, fluency in French is an asset

    The salary range for this position is $58,400 - $97,500. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location.
