Job Description
The Wealth Strategy team is part of the Wealth National Office, supporting the TD Wealth businesses. The team provides strategic thought leadership, strategic planning, and competitive analysis to the Group Head of Wealth Management and the Wealth Operating Committee. It focuses on identifying growth opportunities, cross‑business synergies, and contextualizing the competitive landscape. The Manager, Competitive Analysis serves as a subject matter expert on competitive intelligence for the Wealth business, analyzing industry trends, benchmarking TD Wealth’s performance and market share versus peers, and informing forward‑thinking strategies.
Job Responsibilities
Lead research and financial analysis on key competitors and industry trends, using internal and external data sources.
Conduct financial analysis, interpret results, and generate insights to provide findings and recommendations.
Communicate key insights, ideas, and strategies to an executive audience in a clear, compelling, and concise manner.
Present results and assist partners in executing next steps and implementing recommendations.
Provide forward‑thinking insights related to potential changes and disruptions impacting the value proposition across the business.
Support the development of strategic plans and supporting materials.
Build relationships and collaborate with partners across the Bank to maintain a deep understanding of the businesses and strategies.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5‑7 years relevant business experience within financial services; experience and knowledge of Wealth Management is an asset.
University degree in business management or related discipline; MBA or CPA/CFA qualification is an asset.
Strong analytical problem‑solving skills with experience working with data, conducting analyses, interpreting results, and writing reports and presentations.
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience analyzing and solving complex business problems; consulting experience is an asset.
Experience in financial modeling tools and techniques; knowledge of statistical techniques is an asset.
Experience conducting in‑depth secondary research, including collection and synthesis.
Strong results‑oriented project management skills; highly organized and detail‑focused.
Experience leveraging AI tools to scale the impact of data analysis and insights.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
