Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced finance manager to lead financial strategy, analysis and stakeholder engagement at TD in Toronto.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain good relationships with internal Finance business partners and other stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate recommendations on finance management issues or related operational processes to all levels within the organization.
- Ensure team collaboration with partners on business problems and provide fact‑based analytical advice that aligns with strategy and drives shareholder value.
- Liaise and interact with internal and external auditors and regulators, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Act as subject‑matter expert and practice resource lead for own area, providing guidance and recommendations to internal and external partners.
- Contribute to due diligence and execution of potential business restructures, acquisitions, joint ventures, and/or divestitures, ensuring involvement of necessary finance areas.
- Develop and assess significant business cases or new initiatives, applying expertise and ensuring criteria are met.
- Manage client requests for finance support and reports, balancing partner needs with overall Finance capabilities.
- Provide strategic support across portfolios and programs, offering relevant finance insights and guidance.
- Participate in internal and external committees to provide advice, counsel, and represent TD’s interests.
- Oversee a team of finance professionals in key business segments or a large part of the organization.
- Manage overall budget, revenue, and expenditures to meet objectives while increasing efficiency.
- Leverage data systems and sources to formulate solutions to business problems.
- Monitor and communicate effectiveness of strategy and programs.
- Ensure compliance with risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Undergraduate degree.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Accounting or financial designation preferred.
- People management experience.
