Investment and Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Interest Rate, Currency and Derivative Products. TD Securities works with clients around the world, and our services include the underwriting and distribution of new debt and equity issues, providing advice on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and executing daily trading and investment needs.
** DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
** The Equity Division of TD Securities Inc., is one of Canada’s leading Institutional Equity operations which provides equity sales, trading, research, underwriting and distribution with offices across North America, Europe and Asia.
** THE ROLE - Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
** The successful candidate will execute trades for TD Waterhouse Private Investment Advisors and Institutional Clients. Will be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing these relationships with the objective of maximizing trade flow. Also, the candidate will be:
* Responsible for executing trades in Canadian and US Equities.
* Responsible for managing and reconciling trading inventories
* Cultivate new and deepen existing relationships
* Assist the broader trading desk.
** Requirements:
*** Experience in equity trade execution.
* Strong understanding of financial markets and financial products.
* Demonstrated strong business analytical skills, problem solving abilities, initiative and creativity.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to multitask and be a self-starter.
* Strong team player.
* Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, as well as an ability to learn new applications.
* The ability to work flexible hours.
* Willing to travel occasionally
** EDUCATION and training
*** Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Business or equivalent.
* Canadian Securities Course (CSC) – Must Have
* Conduct and Practice Handbook (CPH) – Must Have
