Position: Mortgage Underwriter with First National

As a Mortgage Underwriter, your primary task will be to render decisions based on comprehensive analysis of credit-related information and to facilitate the underwriting process. You will prioritize applications, ensuring timely evaluations and smooth communication with mortgage brokers. Strong negotiation skills will aid you in setting favorable terms, catering to all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approve or decline mortgage applications based on policy

• Analyze details of employment and property for submissions

• Negotiate conditions that benefit all parties involved

• Maintain data integrity in the underwriting system

• Provide accurate mortgage commitments and follow-up

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of underwriting experience required

• Familiarity with MS Office and new technology adaptation

• Detailed-oriented approach in processing applications

• Effective communication for customer service

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
