Intern Derivative Operations Analyst

Gain hands-on experience in OTC derivatives at BMO as an Intern Derivative Operations Analyst. Engage with trade processing, confirmations, and reconciliations in a supportive team environment.

As part of BMO’s campus program, you will learn the essentials of derivative operations. This internship emphasizes trade support, data accuracy, and stakeholder coordination, giving you a comprehensive view of the derivatives lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with Front Office and Operations teams to ensure all activities align with risk management standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate trade bookings for accuracy and completeness

• Assist with crafting OTC derivative confirmations

• Support settlement affirmation and cash flow verifications

• Participate in daily reconciliation processes

• Improve processes by identifying automation opportunities

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or related fields

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of financial markets preferred

• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
