Position: Investment Leadership for Overlay Management
Join OMERS as a Principal in Overlay Management, where you'll drive public equity investment decisions in Toronto. This role is key in linking macro insights to tactical asset allocations and risk management strategies.

As a core member of the GMAS team, you will play a critical role in shaping equity exposure through disciplined decision-making and active collaboration. Your substantial experience in public markets will empower you to manage passive and tactical strategies effectively, ensuring robust returns and minimal risk. Leading macro research and mentoring junior members are vital components of this investment leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement global public equity viewpoints

• Lead tactical asset allocation strategies within defined risks

• Optimize equity exposures, including rebalancing and hedging

• Conduct thorough macroeconomic and market research

• Support Tail Risk Hedging and downside protection design

Requirements:

• 10+ years in equity investing and risk management

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related quantitative field

• Strong portfolio construction and asset allocation background

• Proven experience with derivatives and overlay implementation

• Strong collaborative skills in cross-functional investment teams
