Position: International Provisions Director Role
Join Scotiabank as the Director, International Provisions, where you'll drive credit risk management and financial reporting in our Toronto location.

Your role is vital in shaping provisions and compliance.

As Director, you will lead efforts in assessing credit loss provisions and ensuring compliance with IFRS 9 standards. This position requires a strong focus on provisioning activities, analysis of trends, and preparation of reports for executive review. You'll collaborate with various departments to support the bank's risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead determination of Provision for Credit Losses for international portfolios

• Analyze and present findings to senior executives

• Manage forecasting and planning for credit metrics

• Build partnerships across financial and risk-oriented teams

• Ensure adherence to audit and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Five-plus years in banking or risk management

• Minimum three years of experience leading teams

• Strong quantitative analysis capabilities

• Spanish language skills preferred

• Degree in mathematics, finance, or related discipline
