Food Manufacturing Controller

Step into a vital Controller position supporting a food manufacturing company in the Greater Toronto Area. This role combines financial oversight with operational engagement across multiple sites.

As a Controller, you will be integral to financial decision-making while collaborating with plant operations. Your duties will include overseeing monthly closes and financial reporting while providing leadership to a five-member accounting team. This is a pivotal opportunity to improve processes and ensure compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct month-end close and financial statement analyses

• Provide operational finance support alongside Plant Managers

• Lead a 5-person team focused on accounting performance

• Drive initiatives for process improvements effectively

• Monitor internal controls and lead audit processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting field

• 10+ years in progressive roles with a manufacturing background

• Experience in operations accounting and ASPE guidance

• Demonstrated leadership and strong analytical skills

• Capacity to present findings to senior management
