Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant Role in Greater

You will coordinate the annual budget process, assist in preparing monthly financial statements, and conduct variance analysis to support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have two to five years of financial accounting experience and the ability to communicate effectively across the organization, enhancing overall efficiency in financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage preparation and coordination of agency budget

• Generate and analyze year-to-date financial reports

• Reconcile agency investments monthly and annually

• Prepare journal entries and maintain audit schedules

• Complete mandatory GST returns and report to Statistics Canada

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in finance or accounting

• 2-5 years of relevant financial experience

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Excel, SAGE, and MS Office

• Strong project management and organizational skills
