CIBC Finance Controls Manager

Drive finance standards as the CIBC Finance Controls Manager. Oversee governance practices and compliance initiatives in a flexible hybrid work setup.

In this strategic position, you will report to the Director of Governance and will play an essential part in finance governance and control processes. Through collaboration with infrastructure groups, you will help ensure that Finance maintains a robust risk management strategy adhering to CIBC’s policies.

Your role will also involve testing controls, managing deficiencies, and leading the assertion processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute annual internal control testing effectively

• Guide Accountable Officers on governance best practices

• Conduct risk self-assessments and complete incident documentation

• Facilitate assertions and support process documentation reviews

• Contribute to projects like process mapping initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in finance controls

• Background in risk management within finance sectors

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks

• Excellent collaboration and change management skills
